I am privileged to announce that on November 5, 2019, the Rotary District 7690 Nominating Committee selected Debbie Scott of the Rotary Club of Jonesboro as our District Governor for Rotary Year 2022-2023. We congratulate Debbie on being selected and express our gratitude to her family for their support.
The committee was pleased that three outstanding candidates sought consideration for this position. We thank the other candidates for their exemplary service to Rotary and desire to serve as a leader of our District in a higher capacity.
Additionally, great appreciation is extended to the members of the Rotary Clubs of the candidates for proposing highly qualified Rotarians for this honored responsibility.
Any club in District 7690 which has been in existence for at least one year may propose a counter nomination, provided this club has previously suggested such candidate to the Nominating Committee.
Per Rotary International By-Laws, counter nominations must be forwarded directly from the club to me by certified mail not more than 14 days from today. If no counter nominations are received, I will declare the Nominating Committee selection to be the official nominee and appropriately recognize as District Governor Nominee Designate.
