About Henry BrownHenry is a native of Davidson, North Carolina and
graduate of Davidson College. He served as Lieutenant in US Army in the Air Defense
Artillery. He is retired from Wachovia Bank where he worked as a bank trust officer
in Winston-Salem, Raleigh and Southern Pines. He is a CPA and CTFA (Certified
Trust and Financial Advisor), and served as director and later as secretary of
the NCACPA. Henry currently serves as board member of Glenaire Retirement Community
and director and treasurer of the Glenaire Foundation. He is also a member of
the Board of Governors of Presbyterian Homes, Inc. Henry is currently serving
as president of Moore County Chapter of North Carolina Symphony Society. A
lifelong Presbyterian, Henry is a member of Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church
in Southern Pines. He has served on various board and committees as well participated
in the chancel and handbell choirs. Henry has been a Rotarian since 1986 as member
of the Raleigh Downtown Rotary Club until 1992. He is now a member of the Pinehurst
Rotary Club and served as club president in 1997-1998. He has served the district
as Rotary Foundation Area Representative in 1998-1999 and as Assistant Governor
from 1999 - 2001. Henry is married to Missy Brown. Both Missy and Henry
are Paul Harris Fellows. They have two daughters and three grandchildren. 2002
