Charlie Engle

Charlie Engle is a global ultra-endurance athlete and the founder of the 5.8 Global Adventure Series, one of the most ambitious expeditions in modern history. His incredible athletic ability was profiled in the film, Running the Sahara, narrated by Matt Damon. Charlie raised more than $6 million for clean water projects in Africa and helped establish an organization called H20Africa, now known as Water.org, one of the largest water nonprofits in the world. Charlie’s memoir, Running Man, became a bestseller shortly after it was published in 2016. While the book details his inspiring life story, it is about more than just running. It is about facing demons, overcoming impossible odds, keeping your sense of humor and discovering the redemptive power of putting one foot in front of the other.

Director for DHHS ( Doctors Hospital Health System in Nassau, Bahamas ) and continue to help the development of the Health System and specialty programs while having the time to continue working with Rotary International, now as Trustee to the Rotary Foundation, the organization that unites Rotarians around the world to Serve Humanity make lasting change and make our world a better place.

Barry has received the Service Above Self Award from Rotary International. He was recognized with the National Award of Health Hero by the Bahamas Ministry of Health and PAHO and the Healthcare Development Leadership Award from Healthcare Development Magazine and is listed in the second volume of Legends in The Bahamas. He was recognized by the Order of Malta with the Grand Cross Pro Merito and received The Bahamas Icon Award for Commerce. In 2018 he was awarded by The Government the recognition as: An Officer of the Order of Distinction of The Bahamas.

Jim Van Eerden

Jim is a cofounder of Helixx Partners, LLC and its affiliated holding companies. He has led the firm’s media and blended value portfolio since 2001. He is a co-founder of Sevenly and other leading social good companies.

He is a frequent guest lecturer and the Entrepreneur in Residence^[3] at Grove City College,^[4] where he was named Alumnus of the Year in 2010.
