Randy Perkins is a native of Guilford County and graduated from UNC-G with a BS in Biology Education. After teaching with the Greensboro Public Schools, he made a career move to Human Resources management with manufacturing companies located mostly in Piedmont, NC. After 25 years in HR management, he resigned his job and in 1998 started his own staffing firm, Prime Personnel Resources, located in Burlington, NC.

He is married to Reida, a retired school teacher. They have a daughter Auburn and a son Reid and three grandchildren. Reida, Auburn and Reid are Rotarians in separate clubs and each one is a Paul Harris Fellow.

The Staff of Prime Personnel Resources have been very active supporting community organizations in and around Alamance County. Randy has served as Board Chair of United Way of Alamance County, Alamance County Chamber of Commerce and the Alamance County Human Resources Association. He is currently Chair of the Regional Partnership Workforce Development Board and serves on the board of the YMCA of Alamance County. Randy continues to promote NC 2-1-1, a NC United Way organization as he travels throughout NC. Randy received the coveted Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award in 2018 to recognize his work with the Alamance Chamber and other community organizations.

Randy joined Rotary in 1998, became President in 2001 and Assistant District Governor in 2003. In 2015 Randy and Reida went on an NID to India where, through Rotary, they provided the polio vaccine to children in impoverished neighborhoods. Needless to say, this was a life changing experience for both of them. Randy has sponsored over wenty members into Rotary through the Alamance Breakfast Club and the Rotary Club of Alamance. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, Benefactor, belongs to the Bequest Society, Paul Harris Society and is a Major Donor and received the four Avenues of Service Award in 2002. Reida and Randy received the District Service Award in 2015.

Randy’s hobbies are fishing, woodworking and golf. He truly believes that District 7690 is Where Fellowship and Service are Timeless.
